HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Barbara 
4M. Narlow, who passed away on April 8, 2023 at the age of 67; 
5and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Barbara Narlow was born in Oak Park to James and 
7Dorothy (Walsch) Caya; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Barbara Narlow married and had two children, 
9Katherine (Joey) Philipp and Steven Narlow, whom she 
10homeschooled in the comfort of their home; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Barbara Narlow was described by those who knew 
12her as a devout Christian who possessed an all-embracing, 
13nurturing, supportive love; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Barbara Narlow enjoyed following politics and was 
15passionate about wildlife conservation and preservation to 
16protect animals and plants and their habitats, hoping that 
17future generations could enjoy the natural world and the 
18incredible species that live within it; and
  
 
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Barbara Narlow was preceded in death by her

1parents; and
  
 
2    WHEREAS, Barbara Narlow is survived by her children, 
3Katherine (Joey) Philipp and Steven Narlow; her grandchildren, 
4Wyatt and Elliana Philipp; her brother, James (Lonie) Caya; 
5and her niece, Teresa Caya; therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
7HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
8we mourn the passing of Barbara M. Narlow and extend our 
9sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew 
10and loved her; and be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to the family of Barbara Narlow as an expression of 
13our deepest sympathy.
