HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Fabio 
4Poli of Antioch, who passed away on March 29, 2023; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Fabio Poli was born to Pietro and Elena Poli in 
6LaRocca, Italy on December 22, 1943; he served in the 1st 
7Battalion, 178th Infantry of the Illinois Army National Guard; 
8he married Elvira Cairo in Chicago on May 1, 1965; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Fabio Poli enjoyed hunting, fishing, and 
10gardening; he loved classic cars, especially his yellow 1951 
11Packard; above all, he relished spending time with his family, 
12especially his grandchildren and his dogs; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Fabio Poli was known for his homemade wine and  
14cured Italian meats and for sharing stories of his youth with 
15his grandchildren; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Fabio Poli was preceded in death by his wife and 
17his siblings, Giancarlo (Rina) Poli, Gemma (Piero) Pierini, 
18and Lidia (Angelo) Coslovich; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Fabio Poli is survived by his sons, Peter 
20(Alyssa) and Tony (Melissa) Poli; his grandchildren, Isabella,

1Lucas, Dominic, and Geovanni; and many extended family 
2members; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
4HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
5we mourn the passing of Fabio Poli and extend our sincere 
6condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
7him; and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Fabio Poli as an expression of our 
10deepest sympathy.
