HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Christa 
4Boden of Chicago, who passed away on October 20, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Christa Boden was born in Germany to Wilhelm and 
6Frieda (Kollak) Reinecke on January 24, 1937; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Christa Boden was affectionately known as "Oma" 
8to her grandchildren; she especially enjoyed gathering with 
9friends and family; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Christa Boden loved traveling the world with her 
11husband, and her hobbies included ballroom dancing, biking, 
12and scrapbooking; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Christa Boden was preceded in death by her 
14parents and her siblings, Wilhelm, Waldtraut, and Frieda 
15Reinecke; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Christa Boden is survived by her husband of 67 
17years, Hans Boden; her daughters, Crystal (Don) Mason and Joan 
18(Jim) Capodice; her grandchildren, Eric Herrera, Brittney 
19(Nick) Balduc, and Scott Capodice; her great-grandchildren, 
20Natalia, Niklas, Logan, Lucas, Leighton, and Lila; her

1brother, Wilfried (Monika) Reinecke; and many loving nieces, 
2nephews, and friends; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
4HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
5we mourn the passing of Christa Boden and extend our sincere 
6condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
7her; and be it further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Christa Boden as an expression of 
10our deepest sympathy.
