HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Alton 
4Dwayne Reese III; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Alton Reese was born in Chicago to Alton Reese 
6Jr. and Leontyne Reese-Tabb on May 29, 1959; he attended 
7Emerson Elementary School in Harvey; as a child, he committed 
8to his faith while attending St. Luke Church of God in Christ; 
9he graduated from Thornridge High School in Dolton and later 
10attended the police academy, where he graduated at the top of 
11his class in 1986; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Alton Reese worked for the Harvey Police 
13Department for several years, where he enjoyed helping the 
14community; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Alton Reese loved the game of baseball and was 
16given an opportunity to try out for the Chicago White Sox; he 
17enjoyed spending time with his family and friends; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Alton Reese was preceded in death by his parents; 
19and
 
20    WHEREAS, Alton Reese is survived by his brothers Albert

1(Gwendolyn) and Anthony; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, 
2nephews, cousins, and friends; and his partner, Shenise 
3McCarter; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
5HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
6we mourn the passing of Alton Dwayne Reese III and extend our 
7sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew 
8and loved him; and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Alton Reese as an expression of our 
11deepest sympathy.
