| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives wish to commend Eddie Mae "Mother" Stegall for |
| 4 | | her decades of devotion and service to Miracle Revival |
| 5 | | Cathedral in Maywood; and |
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Mother Stegall has stood as an unwavering pillar |
| 7 | | within the congregation of Miracle Revival Cathedral, leaving |
| 8 | | an indelible mark since her presence began in 1984; she |
| 9 | | initially served underneath the leadership of Bishop Willie J. |
| 10 | | Chambliss from 1984 until his retirement in 2014, and he |
| 11 | | formally recognized her dedication to the church with a plaque |
| 12 | | of service; she has continued to serve under the current |
| 13 | | leadership of Pastor DeAndre Patterson; and |
| 14 | | WHEREAS, For nearly four decades, Mother Stegall's |
| 15 | | exemplary commitment and leadership have shaped the spiritual |
| 16 | | and community landscape; she has served with distinction on |
| 17 | | the Mother's Board and as coordinator for the Greeters |
| 18 | | Ministry, and her active participation as a member of the |
| 19 | | Nursing Board and her significant contributions to the Sunday |
| 20 | | School Ministry have further underscored her commitment to the |
| 21 | | Miracle Revival Cathedral community; and |
| 22 | | WHEREAS, Beyond her organizational roles, Mother Stegall |

| 1 | | has proven to be a community leader known for her loving and |
| 2 | | caring spirit, consistently extending a helping hand to those |
| 3 | | in need and making an impact on the youth through offering |
| 4 | | encouragement, advice, and wisdom; her influence was |
| 5 | | especially apparent in the pivotal role she played in the |
| 6 | | inception of the Community Health Awareness initiative, |
| 7 | | conducted through West Suburban Neighborhood Development and |
| 8 | | Miracle Revival Cathedral in 2006; her visionary leadership |
| 9 | | saw the establishment of the church's annual Community Health |
| 10 | | Fair, a transformative event providing free medical and dental |
| 11 | | services, distributing essential supplies, and offering |
| 12 | | wholesome entertainment for the entire community; and |
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Mother Stegall is the matriarch of her family, |
| 14 | | embracing her role as a mother to seven, a grandmother to six, |
| 15 | | a great-grandmother to six, a great-great-grandmother to one, |
| 16 | | and a godmother to two, with her home serving as a haven, a |
| 17 | | place where values are instilled and the legacy of her warmth |
| 18 | | and kindness continues to flourish; therefore, be it |
| 19 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
| 20 | | HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 21 | | we commend Eddie Mae "Mother" Stegall for her decades of |
| 22 | | service and leadership to Miracle Revival Cathedral and her |
