HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Kathryn 
4O. "Katie" Lasota, who passed away on December 27, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Kathryn Lasota, the daughter of Harold and 
6Gwendolyn Marston, was born in South Portland, Maine on 
7February 10, 1959; she married David Lasota in Streamwood on 
8February 14, 2011; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Kathryn Lasota enjoyed antiques and co-owned The 
10Cornucopia Tea and Gift Shop in Aurora with her husband, 
11David; she was also employed with the Illinois Hospital 
12Association for 20 years; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Kathryn Lasota will be remembered as a devoted 
14wife and loving mother; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Kathryn Lasota was preceded in death by her 
16parents; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Kathryn Lasota is survived by her husband of 12 
18years, David Lasota, and her children, Adam B. Lasota and 
19Nicole C. Lasota; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
2HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we mourn the passing of Kathryn O. "Katie" Lasota and extend 
4our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who 
5knew and loved her; and be it further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Kathryn Lasota as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
