HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate John T. Frederick on the occasion of his retirement from The Boeing Company; and

WHEREAS, John Frederick earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management, graduating cum laude, and a Master of Arts in Political Science from Wichita State University in addition to graduating from the Public Affairs Institute; and

WHEREAS, John Frederick began his career as a material buyer for the KC-135 programs at Boeing in 1988; and

WHEREAS, John Frederick joined Boeing's government affairs team working as the government affairs administrator in 1989; he was promoted to government relations manager and was then named director of state and local government operations in 2006; and

WHEREAS, John Frederick has also served as the director of state and local government operations for Boeing, representing the company at local and state levels of government in all legislative, administrative, and public agency matters; and

WHEREAS, John Frederick has been a leader in the business and aviation world, representing Boeing, one of the world's largest corporations, on the Board of Directors for the Illinois Manufacturers' Association, for Associated Industries of Missouri, and for the Leadership Council of Southwestern Illinois; and

WHEREAS, John Frederick is retiring from Boeing in 2024 after 36 years of excellent service; and

WHEREAS, John Frederick and his wife, Cori, are the parents of two children, Sarah and Luke; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate John T. Frederick on his retirement from The Boeing Company, and we wish him the best in all of his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to John Frederick as a symbol of our respect and appreciation.
