4 | | E. Laxamana, who passed away on December 7, 2022; and

5 | | WHEREAS, Jonathan Laxamana was born on October 4, 1970; he |
6 | | earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of |
7 | | Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1992; and
|
8 | | WHEREAS, Jonathan Laxamana worked as the digital project |
9 | | coordinator
for JAMA, the Journal of the American Medical |
10 | | Association, beginning in December of 2019; prior to that, he |
11 | | worked for 41Eightyseven as part of Location Services, The |
12 | | McGraw Hill Companies as a senior digital editor, The |
13 | | Counselors of Real Estate as communications manager, and |
14 | | Encyclopedia Britannica as a senior editor; and
|
15 | | WHEREAS, Jonathan Laxamana volunteered as the program |
16 | | director
for the Chicago Filipino American Film Festival
from |
17 | | October 2004 to May 2013 and as the program director
for the |
18 | | Chicago Asian American Showcase at the Gene Siskel Film |
19 | | Center,
beginning in October of 2013; and

20 | | WHEREAS, Jonathan Laxamana was a founding board member for |
21 | | Full Spectrum Features, a Chicago-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit |
