| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate the Hinsdale Little |
| 4 | | League 12U baseball team on an incredible 2024 season, |
| 5 | | including advancing to the team's first Little League World |
| 6 | | Series following a 13-0 winning record; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, The Hinsdale Little League 12U team became |
| 8 | | Illinois District 11 Champions of the Little League Baseball |
| 9 | | Division, ages 10 to 12, on July 24, 2024; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, The Hinsdale Little League 12U team earned its |
| 11 | | first trip to the 2024 Little League World Series with victory |
| 12 | | in the five-team Great Lakes Tournament on August 7, 2024 in |
| 13 | | Whitestown, Indiana; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, The Hinsdale Little League 12U team advanced to |
| 15 | | the 2024 Little League World Series in Williamsport, |
| 16 | | Pennsylvania, where 10 region champions and 10 international |
| 17 | | teams from around the globe competed for the world title; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Though the team was not successful this year at |
| 19 | | the World Series, the Hinsdale Little League 12U team and the |
| 20 | | Hinsdale community have much to be proud of after this season |
| 21 | | and this first World Series trip; and
|

| 2 | | include Grant Wanless, Alex Vivanco, Colin Boots, Dane Graham, |
| 3 | | Dillon Phelan, Emiliano Nepomuceno, Ethan Chan, Fred Sackley, |
| 4 | | Jimmy Macri, Kellen Goodwin, Michael Kipnis, and Shane Behar; |
| 5 | | and

| 6 | | WHEREAS, The Hinsdale Little League 12U team is managed by |
| 7 | | Head Coach Chad Wanless, Assistant Coach Damon Phelan, and |
| 8 | | Assistant Coach Luke Goodwin; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Hinsdale is a proud baseball community, and the |
| 10 | | hard work and dedication of the Hinsdale Little League 12 U |
| 11 | | boys have made Illinois proud; therefore, be it

| 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
| 13 | | HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 14 | | we congratulate the Hinsdale Little League Baseball 12U |
| 15 | | baseball team on their remarkable season, and we wish them the |
| 16 | | best of luck in their future endeavors; and be it further
