| 1 | | AN ACT concerning local government.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Soil and Water Conservation Districts Act |
| 5 | | is amended by adding Section 22.13 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (70 ILCS 405/22.13 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 22.13. District use of sign posts or poles for signs. |
| 8 | | Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a district may |
| 9 | | request that the Department of Transportation install a sign |
| 10 | | related to the district on an existing or new Department sign |
| 11 | | post or pole in a public right-of-way. The Department must |
| 12 | | manufacture and install the sign. The district must reimburse |
| 13 | | the Department only for the reasonable cost of manufacturing |
| 14 | | the sign.
