23 | | recognized for the recruitment, advancement, and retention |
24 | | of women in technology positions and the corresponding |
25 | | management chain in the last 3 years, appointed by the |
26 | | Governor; |

2 | | that supports women in technology, appointed by the |
3 | | Governor; |
4 | | (14) one member representing the University of |
5 | | Illinois Office of the Vice-Chancellor of Diversity, |
6 | | Equity & Inclusion, appointed by the Governor; |
7 | | (15) one member from the Illinois Community College |
8 | | Board, appointed by the Governor; and |
9 | | (16) one member with knowledge of diversity, equity, |
10 | | and inclusion best practices from an advocacy group |
11 | | representing women in technology, appointed by the |
12 | | Governor. |
13 | | (c) The members of the Working Group shall serve without |
14 | | compensation. |
15 | | (d) The Working Group shall meet at least quarterly to |
16 | | fulfill its duties under this Act. At the first meeting of the |
17 | | Working Group, the Working Group shall elect 2 cochairs; one |
18 | | chair shall be a standing member of the Illinois Workforce |
19 | | Innovation Board, and one chair shall be selected from among |
20 | | members of the Working Group. |
21 | | (e) The Illinois Workforce Innovation Board shall, in |
22 | | consultation with an Illinois public college or university, |
23 | | provide administrative and other support to the Working Group. |
24 | | Section 10. Duties. The Working Group shall, subject to |
25 | | appropriation, have the following duties: |

1 | | (1) evaluate evidence and data on recruitment, |
2 | | advancement, and retention of women in technology |
3 | | positions and the corresponding management chain; |
4 | | (2) set goals for recruitment, advancement, and |
5 | | retention of women in technology positions and the |
6 | | corresponding management chains; |
7 | | (3) identify best practices for the recruitment, |
8 | | advancement, and retention of women in technology |
9 | | positions and the corresponding management chain, such as |
10 | | tools for data collection and analysis and techniques to |
11 | | improve the number of women in technology positions; |
12 | | (4) recommend government policies to incentivize |
13 | | companies to recruit, advance, and retain women in |
14 | | technology positions and the corresponding management |
15 | | chain; and |
16 | | (5) establish a plan to create an oversight body to |
17 | | track companies progress year-over-year on recruitment, |
18 | | advancement, and retention of women in technology |
19 | | positions and the corresponding management chain, and |
20 | | manage use of the incentives for those companies with a |
21 | | positive track record. |
22 | | Section 15. Report. The Working Group shall report to the |
23 | | Governor and the General Assembly by December 1 of each year on |
24 | | its activities and findings. The Working Group shall submit a |
25 | | final report to the Governor and the General Assembly by |
