AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2811 

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2811 by replacing 
3line 23 on page 13 through line 6 on page 14 with the 
4following:
5        "(24) Procurements necessary for increasing the 
6    recruitment and retention of State employees, particularly 
7    minority candidates for employment, including:
8            (A) procurements related to registration fees for 
9        job fairs and other outreach and recruitment events;
10            (B) production of recruitment materials, and
11            (C) other related services if the State agency has 
12        made a good faith determination that it is necessary 
13        and appropriate for the expenditure to fall within 
14        this subparagraph (C).
15        The procurement process under this item (24) shall be 
16    conducted in a manner substantially in accordance with the 
17    requirements of Sections 20-160 and 25-60 and Article 50 
18    of this Code. A copy of these contracts shall be made

1    available to the Chief Procurement Officer immediately 
2    upon request. Nothing in this paragraph (24) authorizes 
3    the replacement or diminishment of State responsibilities 
4    in hiring or the positions that effectuate that hiring. 
5    This paragraph (24) is inoperative on and after June 30, 
6    2029.".
