| 1 | AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2930 | ||||||
| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2930 by replacing | ||||||
| 3 | everything after the enacting clause with the following: | ||||||
| 4 | "Section 5. The General Not For Profit Corporation Act of | ||||||
| 5 | 1986 is amended by adding Section 114.15 as follows: | ||||||
| 6 | (805 ILCS 105/114.15 new) | ||||||
| 7 | Sec. 114.15. Demographic information of directors and | ||||||
| 8 | officers. | ||||||
| 9 | (a) Within 30 days after filing its annual AG990-IL | ||||||
| 10 | Charitable Organization Annual Report, a corporation that | ||||||
| 11 | reports grants of $1,000,000 or more to other charitable | ||||||
| 12 | organizations shall post on its publicly available website, if | ||||||
| 13 | one exists, the aggregated demographic information of the | ||||||
| 14 | corporation's directors and officers, including race, | ||||||
| 15 | ethnicity, gender, disability status, veteran status, sexual | ||||||
| 16 | orientation, and gender identity. The aggregated demographic | ||||||

| 1 | information shall be accessible on the corporation's publicly | ||||||
| 2 | available website for at least 3 years after it is posted. | ||||||
| 3 | (b) The Department of Human Rights shall work with | ||||||
| 4 | community partners to prepare and publish a standardized list | ||||||
| 5 | of demographic classifications to be used by corporations for | ||||||
| 6 | the reporting of the aggregated demographic information of a | ||||||
| 7 | corporation's directors and officers, including race, | ||||||
| 8 | ethnicity, gender, disability status, veteran status, sexual | ||||||
| 9 | orientation, and gender identity. The Department of Human | ||||||
| 10 | Rights shall periodically review and update the list. | ||||||
| 11 | (c) In collecting the aggregated demographic information | ||||||
| 12 | of its directors and officers, a corporation shall allow for | ||||||
| 13 | an individual to decline to disclose any or all personal | ||||||
| 14 | demographic information to the corporation. | ||||||
| 15 | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January | ||||||
| 16 | 1, 2025.". | ||||||
