AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3771 

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3771 on page 2, 
3line 13, after the period, by inserting "Beginning with grants 
4awarded for the 2025-2026 academic year, a grant under this 
5Section may also be used at any private, not-for-profit 
6college or university in this State that is approved to 
7participate in the Monetary Award Program under Section 35 of 
8this Act. A recipient attending such a private, not-for-profit 
9college or university shall receive payment of tuition and 
10mandatory fees in an amount not to exceed the maximum grant 
11payable to a student enrolled in the most expensive comparable 
12program of study at a public college or university in this 
13State."; and
 
14on page 8, by replacing lines 18 through 24 with the following:
15"person whose records were expunged and sealed. The clerk 
16shall post in the common areas of the courthouse a notice 
17containing information about grants for exonerated persons and

1their dependents under Section 62 of the Higher Education 
2Student Assistance Act, including the Internet address of the 
3Illinois Student Assistance Commission. The Illinois Student 
4Assistance Commission shall develop a uniform statewide notice 
5and provide the format of the notice to each clerk.".
