SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Danida Miriam Toomey of Springfield, 
4who passed away on February 16, 2023; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Danida Toomey was deeply committed to her faith 
6and her family; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Danida Toomey shared her beauty with those who 
8admired her through lessons of empathy, kindness, manners, 
9inclusion, and humility; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Danida Toomey was known for always entertaining 
11her family and friends with her stories and hilarious sense of 
12humor; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Danida Toomey will be remembered for her generous 
14hospitality, quick wit, adventurous spirit, and ability to 
15throw a party at a moment's notice; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Danida Toomey is survived by her sister, Toni 
17(Ron); her children, Emilie, Elisabeth, and Connor (Shiloah); 
18and her grandchildren, Jessica (Kyle), Kayleigh, Ian, Mason, 
19Alex, and Hunter; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Danida Miriam Toomey and extend our sincere condolences to her 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Danida Toomey as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
