| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Danny LaVerne Foxall of Augusta, who |
| 4 | | passed away on January 27, 2023; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Danny Foxall was born to Edith Gander and H. |
| 6 | | "LaVerne" Foxall in Macomb on June 5, 1940; he attended |
| 7 | | schools in Macomb and Philadelphia, Missouri; he served in the |
| 8 | | U.S. Marine Corps for four years; he married Patricia "Trish" |
| 9 | | Oakman at the Little Chapel of the West in Las Vegas, Nevada on |
| 10 | | October 29, 1980; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, After the Marine Corps, Danny Foxall served as a |
| 12 | | structural steel ironworker out of Local 577 in West |
| 13 | | Burlington, Iowa; he retired from ironwork at age 62; his |
| 14 | | post-retirement pastime was acting as an escort vehicle driver |
| 15 | | for wind towers, which he did until 2019; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Danny Foxall enjoyed racing motorcycles, drag |
| 17 | | cars, and stock cars, earning several championship honors |
| 18 | | throughout his racing career; he became an avid NASCAR fan, |
| 19 | | and he could be found most weekends racing or watching and |
| 20 | | cheering on his favorite drivers; and
|
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Danny Foxall's greatest joy came from his family, |
|

| 1 | | and he loved his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and |
| 2 | | great-great-grandchildren; and
|
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Danny Foxall was preceded in death by his mother |
| 4 | | and stepfather, Edith and Vic Young; his father, La Verne |
| 5 | | Foxall; his stepmother, Jacki Stephens; and his brother, Bill |
| 6 | | Foxall; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Danny Foxall is survived by his wife, Patricia; |
| 8 | | his children, Daryll Foxall, Cindy "Sis" (Steve) Thomas, Jim |
| 9 | | (Lisa) Foxall, Jenifer (Kevin) Buckert, and Vicki (Rob) |
| 10 | | McAlister; his grandchildren, Bronson Royer, Tyler Royer, |
| 11 | | Andrea Woodward, Nicole Thomas, Ron Foxall, Samantha Webb, |
| 12 | | Eric Lux, Kyle Lux, Cameron Lux, Rebecca Lux, James "Jimmie" |
| 13 | | Foxall, Luke Buckert, Mary Buckert, Paul Buckert, Maddox |
| 14 | | McAlister, Meredith McAlister, and Micah McAlister; his 17 |
| 15 | | great-grandchildren; his two great-great-grandchildren; his |
| 16 | | brothers, Larry Foxall, Ken (Sarah) Foxall, Bob Foxall, and |
| 17 | | Scott Foxall; and his sister, Vicki Cannon; therefore, be it

| 18 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL |
| 19 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 20 | | Danny LaVerne Foxall and extend our sincere condolences to his |
