SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Nancy Hogan of Girard, who passed away 
4on March 27, 2023; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Nancy Hogan was born to Alfred and Adelta 
6(Turner) Stauffer in Springfield on March 4, 1947; she married 
7Gary Hogan on February 22, 1985; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Nancy Hogan was the cook of the family; she loved 
9spending time at home with her grandchildren; she also enjoyed 
10camping and shopping; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Nancy Hogan will be remembered for her generous 
12spirit and always putting the needs of others before herself; 
13and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Nancy Hogan was preceded in death by her parents 
15and  her grandson, Anthony Evans; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Nancy Hogan is survived by her husband; her 
17daughters, Lori (Brian) Dodd and Angie Evans; her 
18grandchildren, Sarah (Bryan) Hopkins, Jason King, and Jessica 
19(Daniel) Moreth; her 11 great-grandchildren;  her brother, Gary 
20(Barb) Stauffer; and her numerous nieces and nephews;

1therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Nancy Hogan and extend our sincere condolences to her family, 
5friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Nancy Hogan as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
