| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Scott L. Ault of Good Hope, who passed |
| 4 | | away on April 20, 2023; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Scott Ault was born to Leonard Franklin and Lula |
| 6 | | Redfern Ault in Roseville on April 9, 1936; he was raised and |
| 7 | | resided in the Roseville and Good Hope area; he attended |
| 8 | | Roseville High School, where he excelled in football, earning |
| 9 | | conference honors, and was a Golden Gloves Boxer; he was also |
| 10 | | active in the FFA, serving as chapter president, and he won the |
| 11 | | Illinois State Fair Governor's Award in the sheep shearing |
| 12 | | competition; he enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed in |
| 13 | | Germany; he married Marilyn Kay Monroe in Roseville on March |
| 14 | | 9, 1958; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, After completing his military service, Scott Ault |
| 16 | | returned to the Roseville area to begin his career as a farmer; |
| 17 | | he started Circle A Farm, where he raised deer and elk; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Scott Ault was a founding member of the North |
| 19 | | American Elk Breeders Association, serving a term as |
| 20 | | president; he was also a member of the Warren County Fair |
| 21 | | Board, serving one term as president, and was an avid tractor |
| 22 | | puller; and
