| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of James A. "Jim" Lawlor of Downers |
| 4 | | Grove, formerly of Broadview, Naperville, and Warrenville, who |
| 5 | | passed away on November 21, 2022; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Jim Lawlor was born to James and Nancy (Ehredt) |
| 7 | | Lawlor in Chicago on October 18, 1958 and was raised in |
| 8 | | Broadview; he graduated from St. Ignatius High School in |
| 9 | | Chicago in 1976 and from Eastern Illinois University in |
| 10 | | Charleston with a degree in English; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Jim Lawlor began his 38-year career with the City |
| 12 | | of Naperville in the Public Works Department and later became |
| 13 | | Operations Manager; he retired in June of 2021; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Jim Lawlor enjoyed golfing, especially with his |
| 15 | | buddies known as the "Golf Gang"; he was known for his mastery |
| 16 | | of crossword puzzles and trivia and his affinity for Hello |
| 17 | | Kitty toys; he was a great dad and an even better grandpa; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Jim Lawlor was preceded in death by his parents; |
| 19 | | and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Jim Lawlor is survived by his children, Jessica |
