| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Lillie Berger Hunter, who passed away |
| 4 | | on June 2, 2023; and

| 5 | | WHEREAS, Lillie Berger Hunter was born to Deree and Horace |
| 6 | | Berger in New Edinburg, Arkansas on December 20, 1954; she |
| 7 | | attended DuSable High School in Chicago; she then attended |
| 8 | | DePaul University; she married Elbert T. Hunter on October 14, |
| 9 | | 1979; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Lillie Berger Hunter was employed by BMO Harris |
| 11 | | Bank for 40 years, where she held numerous positions before |
| 12 | | eventually obtaining the status of vice president; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Lillie Berger Hunter was preceded in death by her |
| 14 | | parents; her son, Ahmad Hunter; and her brothers, Jerry Berger |
| 15 | | and Luther Ray Mosley; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Lillie Berger Hunter is survived by her husband, |
| 17 | | Elbert; her son, Akeem Hunter; her brothers, Glenn Berger, |
| 18 | | Joseph Berger, and James Berger; her sister, Vernance Helms; |
| 19 | | her sisters-in-law, Delma Hunter and Alicia Renee Berger; her |
| 20 | | brother-in-law, Euclid Hunter; her granddaughter, Ariel |
| 21 | | Hunter; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends; therefore, |
