SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Henry A. "Hank" Bowdoin of Wyoming, 
4who passed away on September 23, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Hank Bowdoin was born to Ben and Evelyn (Adrian) 
6Bowdoin in Mont Belvieu, Texas on April 8, 1941; he served in 
7the U.S. Army; he married Benola "Bennie" Streitmatter on 
8February 12, 1967; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Hank Bowdoin worked several jobs, including at 
10IMC Fertilizer in Speer, Caterpillar Inc., Agri Power Inc. in 
11Toulon as owner and operator, and Cutco Inc., before retiring 
12in 2009; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Hank Bowdoin was a member of the Stark County 
14Masonic Lodge #479 A.F. & A.M. and the Toulon American Legion; 
15and
 
16    WHEREAS, Hank Bowdoin enjoyed fishing with his friends and 
17spending time with his family; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Hank Bowdoin was preceded in death by his parents 
19and his brothers, Ben Bowdoin and Jim Bowdoin; and

1    WHEREAS, Hank Bowdoin is survived by his wife; his son, 
2Brad (Chantel) Bowdoin; his daughter, Beth Tyre; his 
3grandchildren, Allie Bowdoin, AJ Bowdoin, Adrian Bowdoin, 
4Annika Bowdoin, Caleb Tyre, and Brody Tyre; and his 
5sisters-in-law, Rose Bowdoin and Gail Bowdoin; therefore, be 
6it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL 
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
9Henry A. "Hank" Bowdoin and extend our sincere condolences to 
10his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13presented to the family of Hank Bowdoin as an expression of our 
14deepest sympathy.
