SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of JoAnne E. Romano of Des Plaines, who 
4passed away on October 23, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, JoAnne Romano was born on November 5, 1933; and
 
6    WHEREAS, JoAnne Romano played a big part in the success of 
7Romano's Restaurant in Des Plaines for over 40 years; and
 
8    WHEREAS, JoAnne Romano was the wife of the late Paul A. 
9Romano for 63 years and the mother of Thomas Michael, Cheryl 
10Lynn, and Paul Anthony (Sandra Lynn) Jr.; and
 
11    WHEREAS, JoAnne Romano was the grandmother of Stephanie 
12Marie, Stacy (Jeremy) Lynn, Oscar Anthony, Nikki Sofia, 
13Nicholas Paul, and Alyssa (Nicholas) Susan; and
 
14    WHEREAS, JoAnne Romano was the great-grandmother of Finley 
15Lynn and Russell Paul; and
 
16    WHEREAS, JoAnne Romano was the sister of the late Thomas 
17(Geraldine) and the late Merle (Myrle); therefore, be it
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
2JoAnne E. Romano and extend our sincere condolences to her 
3family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of JoAnne Romano as an expression of 
7our deepest sympathy.
