SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Francis "Frank" Martinez, who passed 
4away on December 4, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Frank Martinez was a recent graduate of Elk Grove 
6High School, where he was on the track team and in the autos 
7program; he was enrolled in the automotive technology program 
8at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Frank Martinez was a life-ranked boy scout, 
10played the french horn, and loved soccer; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Frank Martinez was successful academically and 
12had a wide circle of friends; he was an energetic, fun, 
13friendly soul whose passions included automobiles, climbing, 
14and enjoying the outdoors with friends; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Frank Martinez is survived by his parents, Juan 
16and Jennifer; his siblings, Max and Kate; two grandmothers; 
17and multiple aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; therefore, 
18be it
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL 
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

2his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
