SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Richard Moore, who passed away on 
4November 25, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Richard Moore was born to Fred and Blevian Moore 
6in Munster, Indiana on October 13, 2000; he attended 
7Elementary School District 149, Elementary School District 
8162, and St. Rita Catholic School; he graduated from Rich East 
9High School in Park Forest; he played several sports but 
10enjoyed football the most; after graduation, he attended 
11Jackson State University; and
 
12    WHEREAS, After his transplant in 2022, Richard Moore began 
13living his best life; he traveled to the Caribbean, attended 
14an anime convention, and started working at Blackhawk 
15Elementary School in School District 163, a place that felt 
16like family to him; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Richard Moore, also known as Big Rich, committed 
18to his faith at a very young age and loved music, family, and 
19friends; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Richard Moore was preceded in death by his uncle, 
21Richard; his aunt, Quita; and his grandmother; and

1    WHEREAS, Richard Moore is survived by his parents; his 
2twin brother, Rivage; his sisters, Tamika and Vetta; his 
3grandparents; his friends; his aunts; his honorary aunts, 
4Sharon and Gwen; his uncles; his special uncle, Anthony; his 
5cousins, Nickey, Maliyah, Tay Tay, and Manson; and his 
6brother/cousins, Gerrik and Khylen; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL 
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
9Richard Moore and extend our sincere condolences to his 
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13presented to the family of Richard Moore as an expression of 
14our deepest sympathy.
