| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Paul L. Danner of Illinois City, who |
| 4 | | passed away on December 29, 2023; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Paul Danner was born to Albert and Mildred |
| 6 | | (Dunker) Danner in Illinois City on January 20, 1933; he |
| 7 | | graduated from Reynolds High School; he served in the U.S. |
| 8 | | Army during the Korean War; he married JoAnn Hofer in Illinois |
| 9 | | City on December 28, 1952; and |
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Paul Danner worked and retired as an outside |
| 11 | | salesman for Republic Companies; he also owned and operated a |
| 12 | | furniture and appliance store in Illinois City for many years; |
| 13 | | and |
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Paul Danner was a charter member of the Illinois |
| 15 | | City Buffalo Prairie Fire Department and served as a trustee |
| 16 | | of the Buffalo Prairie Fire Protection District for over 50 |
| 17 | | years; he was a member of the Illinois City Fur, the Fin and |
| 18 | | Feather Conservation Club, the Buffalo Prairie Masonic Lodge, |
| 19 | | and the Moline Consistory, and he was a past member of the |
| 20 | | Illinois City Cemetery Board; and |
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Paul Danner enjoyed golfing, fishing, and |
