| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Keith E. Myers of Springfield, who |
| 4 | | passed away on March 6, 2024; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Keith Myers was born to Robert L. and Sandy K. |
| 6 | | Gilbert Myers in Springfield on March 31, 1971; he graduated |
| 7 | | from Riverton High School in 1990; and |
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Keith Myers began his culinary career at Maverick |
| 9 | | Family Steakhouse, where he worked for over 25 years; he |
| 10 | | served as the food and beverage director at Brenden Gardens |
| 11 | | for the past 12 years, dedicating himself to caring for the |
| 12 | | residents; and |
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Keith Myers had a strong passion for all sports, |
| 14 | | including football, baseball, and golf; he was an avid Kansas |
| 15 | | City Chiefs, Chicago White Sox, and Fighting Illini fan; he |
| 16 | | was devoted to his son, Wesley, and he strove to attend as many |
| 17 | | of his son's football games as possible; and |
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Keith Myers was an extremely hardworking, |
| 19 | | dedicated, and loyal man with a heart of gold; he will be |
| 20 | | remembered for his smile and his amazing sense of humor; and |
