| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Craig A. Meeske, formerly of East |
| 4 | | Moline, who passed away on May 15, 2024; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Craig Meeske was born in Moline to LaVerne and |
| 6 | | Marlese (Evans) Meeske on April 3, 1947; he served in the |
| 7 | | United States Marine Corps; he married Cheryl Ann Knott at |
| 8 | | First Baptist Church in Silvis on April 6, 1968; and |
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Craig Meeske worked as a foreman at Case IH and |
| 10 | | operated the family farm with his father and sons; and |
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Craig Meeske had been active at Wildwood Church |
| 12 | | since it was constructed; he loved being outside, farming, and |
| 13 | | spending time with his grandchildren; he also was involved in |
| 14 | | the community; he served on the Hampton School Board and |
| 15 | | coached many youth athletic teams; he had a great sense of |
| 16 | | humor and loved making omelets for the family on Sunday |
| 17 | | mornings; and |
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Craig Meeske was preceded in death by his wife, |
| 19 | | Cheryl, and his brothers-in-law, Greg and Robert Knott; and |
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Craig Meeske is survived by his sons, Todd (Amy) |
