SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Larry R. Williamson of Rock Island, 
4who passed away on June 17, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Larry Williamson, the son of Russell and Edith 
6(Skinner) Williamson, was born in Rock Island on June 17, 
71952; he married Carol Nesbitt in Rock Island on July 24, 1976; 
8he served in the U.S. Marine Corps; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Larry Williamson retired from the Rock Island 
10Arsenal; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Larry Williamson enjoyed playing Euchre and 
12fishing, and he was a fan of the Chicago Bears and professional 
13wrestling; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Larry Williamson's grandchildren were his pride 
15and joy; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Larry Williamson was preceded in death by his 
17parents; his son, Willie Ashby; and his sister, Monica 
18Williamson; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Larry Williamson is survived by his wife, Carol;

1his son, Christopher (Heather) Williamson; his grandchildren, 
2Christopher Williamson Jr. and Addison Williamson; his special 
3cousin and best friend, Dennis Bradley; and his special 
4nephew, Jeronnie Steward; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL 
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
7Larry R. Williamson and extend our sincere condolences to his 
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
11presented to the family of Larry Williamson as an expression 
12of our deepest sympathy.
