SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Jeff A. Brown of East Moline, who 
4passed away on June 13, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jeff Brown was born in the LaSalle-Peru area; he 
6served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1974 to 1978; he married 
7Christie Cryer in 1984; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Jeff Brown worked for and retired from the Rock 
9Island Arsenal; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Jeff Brown was a member of the American Legion 
11for 30 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Jeff Brown enjoyed fishing with his grandson and 
13taking care of his dog; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Jeff Brown was preceded in death by his parents; 
15and
 
16    WHEREAS, Jeff Brown is survived by his children, Caryn 
17Webb, Cory (Kaitlynn Francois) Brown, and Kari (Jessica 
18Curtner) Brown-Curtner, and his grandson, Easten Brown; 
19therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Jeff A. Brown and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Jeff Brown as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
