SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Terence Joseph "Terry" Corrigan, who
4passed away on May 22, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Terry Corrigan was born to John and Anne (Flynn)
6Corrigan in Streator on October 7, 1955; he received a
7bachelor's degree from Illinois State University and graduated
8magna cum laude from the Southern Illinois University School
9of Law; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Terry Corrigan practiced law in Springfield for
1140 years, working for the Illinois Supreme Court, the Office
12of the Illinois Attorney General, Cassiday Schade, O'Halloran
13Kosoff Geitner & Cook, and the United States Courts; he
14enjoyed mentoring new lawyers; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Terry Corrigan enjoyed reading about American
16history, solving the New York Times crossword in ink, riding
17his motorcycle across the country, and rooting for the Chicago
18Cubs and Bears; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Terry Corrigan was a benevolent uncle who loved
20treating his eight nieces and nephews, and he generously
21donated to almost any cause in need of support; and

1    WHEREAS, Terry Corrigan was preceded in death by his
2parents; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Terry Corrigan is survived by his brothers, Kevin
4(Janice) and Gerald, and his sisters, Sharon (Dan Burkhalter)
5and Jeanne (Charles McBarron); therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Terence Joseph "Terry" Corrigan and extend our sincere
9condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
10him; and be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Terry Corrigan as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
