SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Ted P. Blaser Sr. of Moline, who
4passed away on July 6, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ted Blaser was born in Moline to Theodore and
6Ruth (Phillips) Blaser on August 15, 1933; he attended
7Augustana College; he served in the U.S. Army; he married
8Megan Delores Day in Moline on July 18, 1953; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Ted Blaser operated the Ted Blaser Insurance
10Agency from 1956 to 2003; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Ted Blaser was a true outdoorsman who loved
12hunting, fishing, and camping; he also enjoyed board and card
13games; he was a member of Homewood Evangelical Free Church and
14Gideons International; he was past president of the Moline
15Breakfast Optimist Club; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Ted Blaser was preceded in death by his wife,
17Megan; his sons, Scott and David; and his sister, Janet Bolm;
18and
 
19    WHEREAS, Ted Blaser is survived by his sons, Steve Blaser
20and Ted (Diane) Blaser Jr.; his daughter-in-law, Amy Blaser;

1his special friend, Shirley Kelley; his sister, Marilyn Oaks;
2seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; therefore,

4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Ted P. Blaser Sr. and extend our sincere condolences to his
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Ted Blaser as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
