SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of John Hayley of Oak Park, who passed
4away on March 12, 2024 at the age of 77; and
 
5    WHEREAS, John Hayley was born on November 4, 1946 in
6Chicago; and
 
7    WHEREAS, John Hayley was a lifelong resident of Chicago
8and Oak Park; and
 
9    WHEREAS, John Hayley spent his professional career as Oak
10Park's Animal Control supervisor and was committed to public
11safety and compassion for animals; he wrote an informative
12column, Waggin' Tails, about animals; and
 
13    WHEREAS, John Hayley was passionate about Oak Park
14baseball; he coached Oak Park and River Forest Pony Baseball
15and also played, participating in senior baseball leagues; and
 
16    WHEREAS, John Hayley will be remembered for his love of
17baseball and animals and his faith; and
 
18    WHEREAS, John Hayley is survived by his family; therefore,

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3John Hayley and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
4friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of John Hayley as an expression of our
7deepest sympathy.
