SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Claude William "Dino" Senecal of South
4Pekin, who passed away on July 8, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dino Senecal was born to Claude William Perron
6and Ruth Dorothy (Stevenson) Perron in Leominster,
7Massachusetts on April 17, 1953; he was raised by his foster
8parents, Henri and Lillian (Nishan) Lavallee; he graduated
9from Auburn High School in Auburn, Massachusetts in 1971; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Dino Senecal served in the U.S. Marine Corps in
11Vietnam; he then served in the U.S. Navy until retirement; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Dino Senecal enjoyed tinkering with electronics,
13helping his family with difficult projects, and spending time
14with his family, especially his grandchildren; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Dino Senecal was known for his sense of humor; he
16will be remembered for his kindness, his generosity, and his
17willingness to help those in need; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Dino Senecal was preceded in death by his
19parents; his foster parents; his siblings, Wilfred Perron,
20Phyllis Guilmette, and Christine McCormick; and his dog, Lily;

2    WHEREAS, Dino Senecal is survived by his daughter, Ann
3(Jim) Jurrians; his sons, Scott (Amanda) Senecal and Patrick
4(Lindsey) Senecal; eight grandchildren; four
5great-grandchildren, with one on the way; his sisters,
6Jeraldine Collado, Wanda (Mark) Kulavic, Ann Fish, Ruth
7Marble, Michele (John) Simonueau, and Loda (Bruce) Whittredge;
8and his former spouses and the mothers of his children, Mila
9Senecal and Marlene Davidson; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Claude William "Dino" Senecal and extend our sincere
13condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
14him; and be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Dino Senecal as an expression of our
17deepest sympathy.
