SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Lee A. Lawrick of East Moline, who 
4passed away on August 4, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Lee Lawrick was born in Streator to Donald and 
6Evelyn (Marx) Lawrick on November 27, 1940; he served in the 
7U.S. Air Force; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Lee Lawrick was a radio disc jockey known as 
9"Loveable Lee" for WHBF and WKBF in the Quad Cities and WFMB in 
10Springfield; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Lee Lawrick was an avid and lifelong fan of the 
12Chicago Cubs; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Lee Lawrick was preceded in death by his parents 
14and his sister, Judy Towell; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Lee Lawrick is survived by his children, Tammy 
16Lawrick and Steve (Christina) Lawrick; his grandchildren, 
17Hannah and Grace Lawrick and Jordan Dickenson; his brother, 
18Ronald (Barbara) Lawrick; and his lifelong best friend, Jim 
19Foiles; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Lee A. Lawrick and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Lee Lawrick as an expression of our 
8deepest sympathy.
