SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Keith William Ashbeck of Henry, who
4passed away on June 28, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Keith Ashbeck was born in Chicago to Reuben and
6Anna (Neuman) Ashbeck on September 13, 1949; he served in the
7United States Navy from 1969 to 1973; he married Suzanne
8Elizabeth Lechner on May 4, 1974, and they later divorced; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Keith Ashbeck worked as a specialty machinist
10until retirement; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Keith Ashbeck found great joy in spending time
12with his family, especially his children and grandchildren;
13his favorite moments in life were watching his children and
14grandchildren at their sporting events, dance recitals, plays
15and musicals, concerts, and their many other activities; he
16instilled his love of music in his children and grandchildren
17and always kept himself busy, whether it was helping family
18and friends with repairs, remodeling his home, or any of a
19multitude of other projects; he was a kind and compassionate
20man to all who knew him, both human and canine alike; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Keith Ashbeck was preceded in death by his

1parents; his brothers, William and Alan Ashbeck; his sister,
2Deanna Beck; his sister-in-law, Deborah Ashbeck; and his
3brothers-in-law, Homer Bishop and Leonard Beck II; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Keith Ashbeck is survived by his children,
5Victoria A. Ashbeck, Megan C. Siegmann, and David A. (Jessica)
6Ashbeck; his grandchildren, Logan Siegmann, Kenlee Ashbeck,
7Hannah Ashbeck, and Cecelia Ashbeck; his siblings, Kenneth
8(Bonnie) Ashbeck, Carol Bishop, and Richard (Jana) Ashbeck;
9numerous nieces and nephews; and his grand-pets, Kaiser and
10Sadie; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
13Keith William Ashbeck and extend our sincere condolences to
14his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
15further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Keith Ashbeck as an expression of
18our deepest sympathy.
