SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Jesse Dean McCune of Princeville,
4formerly of Lacon, who passed away on July 1, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jesse McCune was born to Jefferson and Margaret
6(Daly) McCune in Peoria on November 22, 1944; he married
7Brenda Mosley in 1964, and they had three children; he married
8Linda Mullen in 1976; he served in the U.S. Army; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Jesse McCune was a lifelong musician who could
10play any string instrument and possessed a particular love for
11the dobro and the steel guitar; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Jesse McCune was a member of the Masonic Lodge
13and The Scottish Rite, and he served as a volunteer at Wildlife
14Prairie Park for many years; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Jesse McCune was preceded in death by his
16parents; his son, Tony McCune; his brothers, Loren, Raymond,
17and Clarence McCune; and his sister, Shirley Jean McCune; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Jesse McCune is survived by his wife, Linda; his
19children, Lonnie McCune, Sherry McCune, and Jesse McCune Jr.;
20his stepchildren, Angi, Donna, and Johnny; and his sister,

2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Jesse Dean McCune and extend our sincere condolences to his
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Jesse McCune as an expression of our
9deepest sympathy.
