| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Terrance Randall "Terry" Bewley of |
| 4 | | Aledo, who passed away on August 21, 2024; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Terry Bewley, the son of Dick and Darlene Smith |
| 6 | | Bewley, was born in Aledo on June 5, 1952; he graduated from |
| 7 | | Aledo High School in 1970; he served in the U.S. Army National |
| 8 | | Guard from 1971 to 1977; he married Phyllis Sipes on August 11, |
| 9 | | 1972; and |
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Terry Bewley previously worked for Burlington |
| 11 | | Northern Railroad and Deane Frye Construction, and he worked |
| 12 | | as a journeyman carpenter for Carpenters Local 166 with |
| 13 | | various contractors, primarily on Arsenal projects and with |
| 14 | | Friendship Manor; he started working for Aledo High School, |
| 15 | | later Mercer County High School, in 1997, and he took great |
| 16 | | pride in the football field, the softball diamond, and the |
| 17 | | beauty of the school grounds; and |
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Terry Bewley served as an alderman of the City of |
| 19 | | Aledo for 12 years; and |
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Terry Bewley was a member of the Aledo Masonic |
| 21 | | Lodge; he coached summer league baseball for many years; and |
