SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of William C. "Bill" Keller Jr. of
4Farmington, previously of Peoria Heights and Creve Coeur, who
5passed away on August 29, 2024; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Bill Keller was born to Esther Pence Keller and
7William C. Keller Sr. in Peoria on April 14, 1936; he graduated
8from Woodruff High School in 1955; he received a degree in
9robotics from Illinois Central College; he served in the U.S.
10Air Force; he married Betty Lou Bauwens on December 4, 1958;
11and
 
12    WHEREAS, Bill Keller worked for the post office, Logan
13Printing, and Peoria Camera and as a valet at OSF St. Francis
14Medical Center in Peoria; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Bill Keller served as a deacon at United
16Presbyterian Church in Peoria, where he also played hand bells
17and sang in the choir; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Bill Keller enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling,
19and playing darts; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Bill Keller was preceded in death by his parents;

1his wife; his children, Dawn M. Weeks and William C. Keller
2III; and his sister, Patricia Marrs; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Bill Keller is survived by his children, Karla K.
4(Keller) Lewis, Veronica L. (Keller) Shumaker, and Paul D.
5Keller; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren;
6therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9William C. "Bill" Keller and extend our sincere condolences to
10his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Bill Keller as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
