| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Willie James Bowdry Jr., who passed |
| 4 | | away on September 26, 2004; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Willie Bowdry was born to Mary Lucille Starks |
| 6 | | Bowdry and Willie James Bowdry Sr. in Steele, Missouri on |
| 7 | | December 5, 1950; he graduated from Rock Island High School; |
| 8 | | he served in the U.S. Marine Corps; he married Virginia |
| 9 | | "Ginny" Tolefree on April 26, 2008; and |
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Willie Bowdry worked for John Deere for over 35 |
| 11 | | years, retiring in 2010; and |
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Willie Bowdry will be remembered for his legacy |
| 13 | | of love, strength, and dedication; and |
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Willie Bowdry was preceded in death by his |
| 15 | | parents; his siblings, Willie "Pete" Tucker, Larry R. Bowdry, |
| 16 | | Katie M. McBride, and Catherine Moore; his mother-in-law, |
| 17 | | Gratha Tolefree; and his other in-laws; and |
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Willie Bowdry is survived by his wife, Virginia |
| 19 | | Tolefree Bowdry; his brother, Gerald (Shelia) Bowdry; his |
| 20 | | children, Marlon Gardner, Davian Giles, Lasondra Carter, and |
