SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Luke P. Beane of St. Louis, Missouri, who passed away on November 15, 2024; and

WHEREAS, Luke Beane was born in Springfield on December 19, 1994; he attended St. Agnes Grade School and graduated from Springfield High School in 2013; and

WHEREAS, Luke Beane, who possessed a vast love for the St. Louis Cardinals, was a dedicated and passionate employee at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri, where he began working in 2020; during his off-hours at the stadium, he brought joy and impeccable service to the patrons at Rich & Charlie's Italian Restaurant in St. Louis, and he was also an amazing artist who was well-known in the St. Louis art scene; and

WHEREAS, Luke Beane was a staunch supporter of the St. Louis Blues; he enjoyed exploring his Native American heritage, taking trips to Disneyland, tubing with his grandfather, Mike, on Lake Petersburg, attending concerts, taking bike rides through nature, and partaking in his mother's home-cooked feasts; and

WHEREAS, Luke Beane deeply loved his family, who were the cornerstone of his world, and he spent countless hours sharing laughter and playing games with them; he will be remembered for his vibrant blue eyes, his heartwarming smile, his passionate creativity, and his adventurous spirit; and

WHEREAS, Luke Beane was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Margaret Beane; his great-grandmother, Madelyn Rogers; his uncle, Floyd Heller; his aunts, Jody and Rhonda Beane; his cousin, Matthew Jones; and his step-grandfather, Thomas Halberstadt; and

WHEREAS, Luke Beane is survived by his father, Joseph P. Beane; his parents, Vivian and Miles Anderson; his sisters, Libby (Carrick) Younkin and Sophie Anderson; his nephew, Miles Younkin; his grandparents, Guss Wardle, Michael and Elizabeth Anderson, and Patricia Halberstadt; his aunts, Tanya Heller, Angela (Patrick) Ryan, Paetra Yates, and Jackie (Steve) Jones; his uncles, Ryan (Kathy) Samuelson, Jim Beane, and John Beane; many cousins; and other family and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Luke P. Beane and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Luke Beane as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
