SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Connie (Hawkins) Michelich of Auburn, 
4who passed away on December 17, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Connie Michelich was born to Mildred "Jackie" and 
6William Hawkins in Springfield on February 28, 1955; she 
7married Joe Michelich at Trinity Lutheran Church in Auburn on 
8June 14, 1997; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Connie Michelich worked at South County 
10Publications in Auburn for almost 40 years; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Connie Michelich was preceded in death by her 
12parents and her sister, Shirley Hawkins; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Connie Michelich is survived by her husband, Joe; 
14her sons, Richard (Amy) Schwartz II and Sean (Julia) McAuliff; 
15her daughter, Adrienne Bond; seven grandchildren; and her 
16brothers, Russ Hawkins and Dale Hawkins; therefore, be it
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL 
18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
19Connie (Hawkins) Michelich and extend our sincere condolences 
20to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be
