| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1088 on page 1, by |
| 3 | | replacing lines 22 and 23 with the following: |
| 4 | | "(c) A committed person may make a request to be |
| 5 | | transferred to another institution or facility every 12 |
| 6 | | months. |
| 7 | | (1) Department staff shall consider programmatic needs |
| 8 | | and visitation hardships for each committed person |
| 9 | | requesting to be transferred to ensure the committed |
| 10 | | person is placed in a facility best suited to the |
| 11 | | committed person's case plan. |
| 12 | | (2) Committed persons are expected to be responsible |
| 13 | | with their transfer requests and shall consider all |
| 14 | | possible options before requesting a transfer.". |
