| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Government Zero-Emission Vehicle Act is |
| 5 | | amended by changing Section 10 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (30 ILCS 532/10) |
| 7 | | Sec. 10. Zero-emission vehicles of governmental units. |
| 8 | | Notwithstanding any other provision of law, beginning on |
| 9 | | January 1, 2030, all passenger vehicles, except for law |
| 10 | | enforcement vehicles, purchased or leased by a governmental |
| 11 | | unit must be either a manufactured zero-emission vehicle or a |
| 12 | | converted zero-emission vehicle and must be manufactured in |
| 13 | | the United States by a company that is headquartered in the |
| 14 | | United States. |
