| 1 | | AN ACT concerning government. |
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly: |
| 4 | | Section 5. The Flag Display Act is amended by changing |
| 5 | | Section 1 as follows: |
| 6 | | (5 ILCS 465/1) (from Ch. 1, par. 3301) |
| 7 | | Sec. 1. It shall be the duty of each county board to |
| 8 | | provide United States national flags of not less than four by |
| 9 | | eight feet in size, to be unfurled and kept floating from a |
| 10 | | suitable flag-staff to be placed on the top of or on the |
| 11 | | grounds of the court house in its respective county, and it is |
| 12 | | hereby made the duty of the sheriff of each and every county in |
| 13 | | the State to see that the flag so provided shall be hoisted on |
| 14 | | its flag-staff above or at the court house and kept floating |
| 15 | | from eight o'clock a.m. to five o'clock p.m. on each and every |
| 16 | | legal holiday of the year, and on such other days as the county |
| 17 | | board may direct. |
| 18 | | The county board may provide for the display of an MIA flag |
| 19 | | at the court house in its county, either upon the same |
| 20 | | flag-staff as the United States national flag or otherwise. |
