| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The School Safety Drill Act is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 22 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (105 ILCS 128/22 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 22. Substitute personnel training. A school district |
| 8 | | shall provide training on school evacuation drills and law |
| 9 | | enforcement lockdown drills to all school personnel serving in |
| 10 | | a substitute capacity. With respect to individuals who hold a |
| 11 | | Short-Term Substitute Teaching License under Section 21B-20 of |
| 12 | | the School Code, this training may be included as part of the |
| 13 | | training provided under Section 10-20.67 of the School Code. |
