| 16 | | of it shall be reported to the General Assembly and school |
| 17 | | district no later than March 1, 2026. The school district |
| 18 | | shall respond to the study's findings and report the |
| 19 | | district's response to the General Assembly no later than |
| 20 | | March 30, 2026. |
| 21 | | Beginning on August 1, 2027, the school district shall |
| 22 | | prohibit standardized testing or developmentally appropriate |
| 23 | | screening assessments for those children seeking to enter a |
| 24 | | kindergarten program. |

| 3 | | (a) If the school district has a school with selective |
| 4 | | admission requirements that require standardized testing in |
| 5 | | order for incoming kindergarten students to attend the school, |
| 6 | | the board shall require the district, no later than 30 days |
| 7 | | prior to the first developmentally appropriate screening |
| 8 | | assessment, to provide resources about the testing process to |
| 9 | | the families of students who elect to participate in the |
| 10 | | testing. |
