Provides that the board of trustees of a community college district shall require the primary instructor of a course to meet specified qualifications set forth in the Illinois Administrative Code and any other applicable rules adopted by the Illinois Community College Board. Provides that a course may not, in lieu of a primary instructor, use artificial intelligence or a generative artificial intelligence program. |

| 1 | | AN ACT concerning education. |
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly: |
| 4 | | Section 5. The Public Community College Act is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 3-29.28 as follows: |
| 6 | | (110 ILCS 805/3-29.28 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 3-29.28. Primary instructor qualifications. Each |
| 8 | | board shall require the primary instructor of a course to be an |
| 9 | | individual who meets the qualifications set forth in 23 Ill. |
| 10 | | Adm. Code 1501.303(f) and any other applicable rules adopted |
| 11 | | by the State Board. A course may not, in lieu of a primary |
| 12 | | instructor, use artificial intelligence or a generative |
| 13 | | artificial intelligence program, as defined in Section 2-101 |
| 14 | | of the Illinois Human Rights Act. |
