| 1 | | AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2584

| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2584 on page 5, by |
| 3 | | replacing line 14 with the following: |
| 4 | | "medication. This Section does not apply to a health care plan |
| 5 | | serving Medicaid populations that provides, arranges for, pays |
| 6 | | for, or reimburses the cost of any health care service for |
| 7 | | persons who are enrolled under the Illinois Public Aid Code; |
| 8 | | however, nothing in this Section shall be construed to limit |
| 9 | | or otherwise diminish any coverage requirements, patient |
| 10 | | protections, or access standards applicable to the medical |
| 11 | | assistance program under the Illinois Public Aid Code, |
| 12 | | including, but not limited to, Section 5-5, Section 5-16.8, or |
| 13 | | any other provision of the Illinois Public Aid Code regarding |
| 14 | | coverage of human immunodeficiency virus pre-exposure |
| 15 | | prophylaxis and post-exposure prophylaxis medication or human |
| 16 | | immunodeficiency virus treatment medication.". |
