| Amends the Department of Transportation Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that if the Department of Transportation is conducting a bridge restoration project and the municipality in which the bridge is located wants to engage in a beautification project of the bridge, then the Department shall work with the municipality to aid in the beautification of the bridge. Provides that the municipality shall use its own funds to invest in the beautification of the bridge. |

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Department of Transportation Law of the |
| 5 | | Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding |
| 6 | | Section 2705-627 as follows:

| 8 | | Sec. 2705-627. Bridge restoration projects. If the |
| 9 | | Department is conducting a bridge restoration project and the |
| 10 | | municipality in which the bridge is located wants to engage in |
| 11 | | a beautification project of the bridge, then the Department |
| 12 | | shall work with the municipality to aid in the beautification |
| 13 | | of the bridge. The beautification shall occur at the same time |
| 14 | | as the bridge restoration project. The municipality shall use |
| 15 | | its own funds to invest in the beautification of the bridge. |
