| 1 | | AN ACT concerning elections. |
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly: |
| 4 | | Section 5. The Election Code is amended by adding Section |
| 5 | | 29-21 as follows: |
| 6 | | (10 ILCS 5/29-21 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 29-21. Electioneering communication broadcast to |
| 8 | | children. No person shall broadcast any electioneering |
| 9 | | communication on a video or audio service that offers content |
| 10 | | that is primarily viewed or listened to by children under the |
| 11 | | age of 13. A violation of this Section is a business offense, |
| 12 | | punishable by a fine not to exceed $1,000. |
